NetEnt is a Swedish supplier of premium casino gaming content, as well as complete software solutions for the online gambling industry. Its gaming portfolio comprises several hundred slots, table games, video poker variations, progressive slots, and live dealer games. The studio has also created some of the most entertaining and rewarding versions of online roulette, combining standard roulette rules with 3D graphics, smooth animations, and high payout rates.
Company Overview
NetEnt was founded in Sweden in 1996, and until 2015 it was known as Net Entertainment. With more than 1,000 employees in Malta, Sweden, Gibraltar, Poland, Ukraine, the UK, and the USA, the company is one of the largest developers of online casino software in the world. Since April 2007, it has been listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange and is globally recognized for its achievements in creating technologically advanced, innovative, top-quality content.

In addition, the company offers business intelligence solutions, technical support, and professional training, along with account management, hosting services, and customer support.
NetEnt Roulette Gameplay
NetEnt Roulette Software Features
Unlike some competitors, NetEnt does not offer twenty or thirty roulette variants. Its virtual gaming portfolio contains only a handful of games, yet they stand out from most online releases thanks to their superb visual and audio quality. Each title is fully optimized for mobile play and can be enjoyed on any desktop or touchscreen device.
Players can adjust several game settings, including background music, the dealer’s voice, and sound effects. They can also choose from five available soundtracks, set the volume, and enable or disable the introductory video.
Table Limits
The design and layout of the games are fairly standard, with the spinning wheel displayed above the main betting area. Below it, players will find all available chips, though their denominations may vary depending on the currency in use and the online casino.
Betting limits also differ from one casino to another, but by default players can wager between €0.10 and €5,000 per spin. The Auto Adjust Bet function, located in the Game Settings menu, automatically raises the stake to the highest possible amount if a player reaches the table limit or lacks sufficient balance.
Racetrack
The game includes the popular Call Bets, also known as French Bets, which can be placed on the additional racetrack layout. Players can open this layout by selecting the Racetrack button in the small keypad menu at the bottom left corner of the screen. The racetrack shows the numbers as they appear on the wheel and lets players bet on large groups of numbers. They can also place a Neighbor Bet by first setting the number of neighbors (from 1 to 8) and then clicking their chosen number on the racetrack. All Call Bets are available from the Favorite Bets button, which lets users store up to 10 betting patterns.
Statistics and Billboard
Many players like to track how many red and black numbers have appeared, as well as the Hot and Cold Numbers. Although these statistics should never be used as the basis for a betting strategy, they can be entertaining. Most of the data is displayed in a small panel to the right of the wheel, where players can view the last 15 winning numbers and the current Hot and Cold Numbers. The Open/Close Statistics button also shows the percentages of red, black, even, and odd results.
Quick Spin and Autoplay
The Quick Spin feature is available in most online roulette variants, and NetEnt has included it in its Game Settings as well. When enabled, players can complete more rounds per hour because they do not have to wait for the wheel to finish spinning. An Autoplay option is also provided and, with it, players can activate up to 1,000 automatic spins at the current bet level. They can set specific conditions for stopping the sequence, such as on any win or when a single win exceeds a certain amount.
Return to Player
NetEnt focuses on roulette variations with the highest payout rates, which is why most of its games use the standard single-zero wheel. Their RTP (return to player) is 97.30%. The only exception is NetEnt’s American Roulette, which adds a second zero pocket, giving the house an extra advantage. Its RTP is lower at 94.74%.
Standard Rules in NetEnt Roulette
As mentioned above, most NetEnt roulette titles feature a single-zero wheel and follow the standard rules of European roulette, making them easy to play even for beginners. The wheel is divided into 37 colored pockets: alternating red and black pockets for numbers 1 through 36, plus a green pocket for 0. Players simply select their bet, place their chips on the table, and wait for the wheel to spin.

Inside and Outside Bets
All traditional bets found in land-based casinos are available in NetEnt’s online roulette, including both Outside and Inside bets. Outside bets provide smaller payouts because they have a higher probability of winning, whereas Inside bets appeal to thrill-seekers; these wagers are less likely to win but pay significantly more.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Straight Up | 35:1 | Column | 2:1 | |
| Split | 17:1 | Dozen | 2:1 | |

Neighbor Bets
After opening the racetrack, players can place Neighbor Bets. By default, these are wagers on five numbers: the selected number and the two numbers that appear on either side of it on the wheel. To place the bet, players simply drop a chip on their chosen number on the racetrack; they can adjust the quantity of neighbors by using the plus and minus signs. Up to eight neighbors can be selected for a total of 17 numbers.
Call Bets and Special Bets
The primary purpose of the racetrack layout is to let players place Call Bets. They are also available in the Favorite Bets menu and include the following options:
- Voisins – This is a 9-chip bet on 17 numbers – 22-18-29-7-28-12-35-3-26-0-32-15-19-4-21-2-25.
- Tiers – A 6-chip bet on a series of 12 numbers – 27-13-36-11-30-8-23-10-5-24-16-33
- Orphelins – This is a 5-chip bet on two series of 8 numbers in total, namely 17-34-6 and 1-20-14-31-9
- Jeu Zero – This is a 4-chip bet on 12-35-3-26-0-32-15.
- Red Splits and Black Splits – This is a bet on either all possible red splits (9-12,16-19, 18-21, and 27-30) or on all black splits (8-11, 10-11, 10-13, 17-20, 26-29, 28-29, and 28-31). The Red Splits bet requires 4 chips to be placed on the table, while for a Black Splits bet, players need to wager 7 chips.
- Orphelins Plein – An 8-chip bet on the same numbers as the regular Orphelins, but here, players bet on 8 numbers straight up.
- Finales en Plein – A bet on one number and all numbers ending with it such as 2, 12, 22, and 32 or 8, 18, and 28.
- Finales A Cheval – A bet on 2 numbers and all numbers ending with them – a Finales A Cheval on 4-5 includes 4-5, 14-15, 34-35 splits and straight bets on 24 and 25.
La Partage and En Prisоn Rules
These two rules are available only in NetEnt’s French Roulette, and they must be enabled by the casino you are playing at, so they might not be offered everywhere. Both apply to even-money bets (red/black, even/odd, low/high) and are triggered when the ball lands on zero. They cut the house edge in half, raising the RTP on these bets to 98.65%.
- La Partage – When 0 is hit, players lose only half of their even-money bets.
- En Prison – When 0 is hit, the even-money bet remains on the table and is settled on the next spin of the wheel.

Auto Roulette Studio
NetEnt’s Live Casino is currently among the best options on the market, offering a large selection of roulette tables in multiple languages and currencies, each with different betting limits. One of the studio’s most popular live dealer roulette variations is Classic Roulette Live, which features default table limits of €1–€100,000 per spin. Players should also note the maximum stake for each type of bet: €250 on single numbers straight up and €4,500 on even-money bets.
Developed in HTML5, the game delivers a smooth experience on both desktop and mobile devices. It is streamed in HD, but players can manually adjust the video quality according to their Internet connection. Hosted by professional croupiers, the game allows casino patrons to interact with fellow players through a live chat feature and webcam technology. In terms of rules and payouts, this is a standard single-zero roulette played like any other European or French roulette. There is a Favorite Bets panel and a Racetrack with Call Bets, Special Bets, and Neighbors. Some tables offer the optional La Partage rule.

The games are almost identical in appearance, features, and gameplay. The only difference is the La Partage rule (and En Prison), which applies in the French-style game. Both titles feature an elegant, intuitive design, straightforward rules, and an excellent RTP of 97.30%.
View more...Roulette Advanced is one of NetEnt’s oldest virtual roulette versions, but the studio recently released a second variation that is available on both desktop and mobile. Compared with newer games, its graphics are not as crisp or modern-looking, but it includes all standard features and functions including Autoplay and Quick Spin, a Billboard for history and statistics, and a Racetrack for making Call Bets, Special Bets, and Neighbor Bets. Overall, the game has a different design, but it follows standard European roulette rules. The RTP is 97.30%.

The layout matches the standard European and French Roulette versions, but the table is covered in an attractive dark-red felt. This variation includes all regular bets along with the Top Line bet, which covers 0-00-1-2-3 and pays 6:1. Although the game has a theoretical RTP of 94.74%, the percentage drops to 92.11% for the Top Line bet.

Players can switch between them as many times as they wish during gameplay. Each game has different limits, but they all follow the same French or European roulette rules and offer identical payouts, so their RTPs stand at 97.30%. Auto Roulette Studio does not feature live croupiers because everything is automated. It is available in 12 languages and can be played on any desktop or mobile device.
