NetEnt Roulette Gameplay
NetEnt Roulette Software Features
Unlike some of its competitors, NeEnt does not have twenty or thirty versions of roulette. In its virtual gaming portfolio, it offers only a handful of games but they all stand out from most of the releases that can be found online with their superb visual and audio quality. They are also fully mobile optimized and can be played from any desktop or touchscreen device.
There are various game settings players can adjust and customize such as turning on and off the background music, dealer’s voice, and sound effects. They can also choose from 5 available soundtracks, adjust the volume, and opt for the introductory video.
Table Limits
The design and layout of the games are quite standard, with the spinning wheel appearing above the main betting area. Below it, players can see all available chips they can choose from – the denominations may vary depending on the currency you use and the online casino you play at.
The betting limits are also different from one casino to the other but the default setting allows players to bet anything from €0.10 to €5,000 per spin. The Auto Adjust Bet function, which can be found in the Game Settings Menu, automatically sets the bet to the maximum possible amount if the player reaches the table limit or does not have sufficient balance.
Racetrack
The game features the popular Call Bets or French Bets and they can be placed on the additional racetrack layout. It can be opened from the Racetrack button in the small keypad menu in the bottom left corner of the screen. This layout allows players to see the numbers as they appear on the wheel and to bet on large groups of numbers. In addition, roulette players can place a Neighbor Bet by first adjusting the number of neighbors (from 1 to 8) and then click on their preferred number on the racetrack. All Call Bets can also be opened from the Favorite Bets button, which allows saving up to 10 different betting patterns.
Statistics and Billboard
Many players are interested in the number of red and black numbers that have been hit or in so-called Hot and Cold Numbers. Although these stats should not be used as a basis for a betting strategy of any kind, they are actually quite entertaining. Most of the data is displayed just to the right of the wheel and this small panel, players can see the last 15 winning numbers, along with the Hot and Cold Numbers. The Open/Close Statistics also shows the percentages of red, black, even, and odd numbers.
Quick Spin and Autoplay
The Quick Spin function is available in the majority of online roulette variations and NetEnt has added it to its Game Settings, as well. When it is active, players can play through more gaming rounds per hour since they do not have to wait for the wheel to stop spinning. In addition, there is an Autoplay function and with it, players can activate up to 1,000 automatic spins at the current bet level. They can also choose the conditions for stopping the spins – on any win, when a single win extends a certain amount of money, etc.
Return to Player
NetEnt focuses only on roulette variations with the highest payout rates, which is why most of its games are based on the standard single-zero roulette. Their RTP (Return to Player) stands at 97.30%. The only exception is NetEnt’s American Roulette, which has an additional zero pocket on the wheel, giving the house further advantage. Its RTP rate is lower at 94.74%.
Standard Rules in NetEnt Roulette
As we have just mentioned, most of NetEnt’s versions of roulette feature a single-zero wheel and follow the standard rules of European roulette, which makes them easy to play even for novices. The wheel is divided into 37 colored pockets – alternating red and black ones for the numbers from 1 to 36 and a green pocket for 0. Players simply need to select their bet, place their chips on the table, and wait for the wheel to be spun.

Inside and Outside Bets
All traditional bets can be placed in NetEnt’s versions of online roulette, including the Outside and Inside Bets available in land-based casinos. Outside bets offer small payouts as they have a high probability of winning, while Inside bets are preferred by thrill-seeking players – these bets are less likely to win but pay much more.

Neighbor Bets
After opening the Racetrack, players can place Neighbor Bets. These are by default bets on 5 numbers – the player’s selected number and the two numbers that appear on either side of it on the wheel. To make the bet, players just place a chip on the number on the racetrack – they can increase the neighbor numbers by selecting the plus and minus signs. Up to 8 neighbors can be chosen for a total of 17 numbers.
Call Bets and Special Bets
The main purpose of the racetrack layout is to give players the opportunity to make Call Bets. They are also available in the Favorite Bets menu and include the following options:
- Voisins – This is a 9-chip bet on 17 numbers – 22-18-29-7-28-12-35-3-26-0-32-15-19-4-21-2-25.
- Tiers – A 6-chip bet on a series of 12 numbers – 27-13-36-11-30-8-23-10-5-24-16-33
- Orphelins – This is a 5-chip bet on two series of 8 numbers in total, namely 17-34-6 and 1-20-14-31-9
- Jeu Zero – This is a 4-chip bet on 12-35-3-26-0-32-15.
- Red Splits and Black Splits – This is a bet on either all possible red splits (9-12,16-19, 18-21, and 27-30) or on all black splits (8-11, 10-11, 10-13, 17-20, 26-29, 28-29, and 28-31). The Red Splits bet requires 4 chips to be placed on the table, while for a Black Splits bet, players need to wager 7 chips.
- Orphelins Plein – An 8-chip bet on the same numbers as the regular Orphelins, but here, players bet on 8 numbers straight up.
- Finales en Plein – A bet on one number and all numbers ending with it such as 2, 12, 22, and 32 or 8, 18, and 28.
- Finales A Cheval – A bet on 2 numbers and all numbers ending with them – a Finales A Cheval on 4-5 includes 4-5, 14-15, 34-35 splits and straight bets on 24 and 25.
La Partage and En Prisоn Rules
These two rules are found only in NetEnt’s French Roulette but they need to be activated by the casino you play at. That is why they may not be valid everywhere. Both rules apply to even-money bets (red/black, even/odd, low/high) and are triggered when the ball lands on zero. The house edge is cut in half and the RTP on these bets will be 98.65%.
- La Partage – When 0 is hit, players lose only half of their even-money bets.
- En Prison – When 0 is hit, the even-money bet remains on the table and is settled on the next spin of the wheel.

Auto Roulette Studio
NetEnt’s Live Casino is currently among the best options on the market and it includes a huge number of roulette tables, each available in multiple languages, currencies, and with different betting limits, as well. One of the studio’s most popular live dealer roulette variations is Classic Roulette Live, which has default table limits of €1 to €100,000 per spin. Players should also look for the maximum amount they can stake on each type of bet – it is €250 on single numbers straight up and €4,500 on even-money bets.
Using HTML, the game provides a smooth gaming experience on both desktops and mobile devices. It is streamed in HD but players can manually adjust the video quality, depending on their Internet connection. The game is hosted by professional croupiers and offers casino patrons to interact with fellow players with a live chat feature and a webcam technology. In terms of rules and payouts, this is a standard single-zero roulette which is played just like any other European/French roulette – there is a Favorite Bets panel and a Racetrack with Call Bets, Special Bets, and Neighbors. Some tables offer the La Partage Rule, which is optional for casinos.
