Ramses Book Slot Review

Ramses Book Slot Review

Ancient Egypt has inspired multiple software studios for their slot creations over the years, so much so that the theme is getting kind of old already. Ramses Book is Gamomat’s take on this constantly recycled motif.

This is a relatively new game that was officially released toward the end of 2016 but we regret to say it does not show in the quality of its graphics and overall design. Compared to some of the latest slot releases we have reviewed lately, this one hardly stuns with mind-blowing visuals and gameplay.

Nevertheless, Ramses Book is not entirely devoid of merits. It offers a round of free spins with bonus symbols, wilds, and scatters. The RTP is set at 96.15% while volatility is low enough to accommodate spinners with different bankrolls.

Symbols and Winning Combinations of Ramses Book Slot

Winning CombinationsTo begin with, Ramses Book is your typical 5-reel slot with 3 rows and 10 adjustable paylines. The reel casing sits inside an Ancient Egyptian temple, with pillars adorned with hieroglyphs. Not much is going in terms of animations, though.

As for the winning combinations, most of these are formed with theme-related symbols one would expect to see in an Egypt-inspired slot. The highest prize of $3,000 drops when you align five symbols with the Egyptian pharaoh.

The second-best combination consists of five obelisks which yield a payout of $1,200. Five symbols with falcons or Bastet statuettes pay out $450. The good thing about these four top-payers is that they can yield a cash prize for combinations consisting of as few as two matches.

This is not the case with low-value combinations where you need at least three identical symbols to pocket a payout. You must align five lotus flowers to earn $150. The other low-paying symbols are designed to resemble the four card suits, clubs, spades, hearts, and diamonds.

All of these offer the same payouts. The minimum prize is $3 for three identical suits. Four alike suits yield a cash prize of $15 while the maximum of $60 goes to the player who manages to align five matching suits on a payline.

The game pays for winning combinations formed from left to right on the reels. Keep in mind the payouts listed in our review are valid when you bet the maximum only.

Bonus Features of Ramses Book Slot

Bonus imageRamses Book offers the standard set of bonus features, starting with the book symbol. This one is multifunctional. First of all, it awards payouts of $12 to $1,200 depending on the number of matches. You need at least three books to collect a prize, however.

Secondly, the books are wild and as such, they can appear in place of other symbols, enabling players to score more winning combos.

Thirdly, this symbol is also scattered, which is to say it does not have to align on a payline to award a prize. The only criterium is for the scattered matches to occur in any position on adjacent reels.

Another reason why this symbol is important is that it is your key to entering the bonus free spins. This feature activates whenever you land a minimum of three scatters on the same spin.

Once that happens, you receive a round of 10 spins at no cost. This may not seem like much but on the positive side, you can retrigger additional free games within the feature. The only interesting thing here is that the free spins play with bonus symbols.

At the start of the feature, one of the regular payers is drawn at random to become the bonus symbol. This can be any icon bar the book one. And this is pretty much everything you can expect in terms of extra features in Ramses Book.

The game also has a Gamble functionality that activates after every winning spin. This is a bit annoying, especially if you are not keen on gambling your profits because the game requires you to manually collect your wins after each successful spin.

While we saw nothing new or original in this Gamomat release, Ramses Book still offers decent enough gameplay and overall quality, particularly if you are a fan of Egypt-inspired video slots. It offers a reasonable RTP of a little over 96% and tolerably low variance that will not wipe away your bankroll quickly.
